Who is VJ Mamiko Kushida?

VJ Mamiko Kushida has been leading New York's and world's Subculture Scene since 2005.

VJ Mamiko Kushida is a New York based VJ, Projection Mapping Artist,  Stage & Space Designer, Art Director whose work crosses a wide range of genres: DJ event, concert, musical theater, corporate event, fashion show and music video.

 She started VJing in 2005 in Kyoto, Japan.She has performed with some internationally renowned Japanese DJs at the biggest parties in Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo.

 In 2008, She moved to  New York. She started VJ ing at the Sullivan Room  which is the top 100 clubs in the world.

 In 2010, She made her VJ debut at the Cielo which is the world's and New York's best club.  She’s done live visuals for the Grammy Award winning music producers such as Frankie Knuckles and Easy Mo Bee.

 In 2014, She was nominated for the Best Visual Artist at Brooklyn Nightlife Awards.

 In 2015, Post punk band "ZZZ’s"’s music video “Dystopia” which is directed by her was nominated for Berlin Music Video Awards 2015.

She officially collaborated with 80's iconic visuals artist "Keith Haring" for 1800 Tequila's event.  She made animations by using Keith Haring's art works.

She created projection mapping installation and  did store design for Australia based men's fashion brand "ZANEROBE"'s pop up store in Soho NY.

She also had VJ performance for American TV Network "SHOWTIME" 's event at Paley Center for Media -Museum of Television and Radio- in NY.

 In 2016, VJ Mamiko Kushida and the electronic music band "ZGRT"  did Opening performance for NEW ORDER's concert at Radio city music hall (NY) and Tower Theater (Philadelphia).

 In January 2017, She created Visual contents for the American POP STAR Ian Erix's UK concert tour.  In March, She started to work with Italian musical production "Incanto Productions, corp." and created Projection Mapping Stage for the musical "Sempreverde: EVERGREEN" at Queens Theater NY.  In May, She did live visuals for celebrity rapper  Busta Rhymes and celebrity R&B singer Tinashe at the stage 48 NYC.

In 2018, VJ Mamiko Kushida created visuals and did live visuals for Africa Now! featuring DJ Black Coffee at Apollo Theater.

 Currently, she also teaches VJ & Multimedia Arts at Performing Arts program  at St. John's Preparatory School, Astoria NY.
